Call to Order

Preliminary Business

Architectural submission

Two submissions were reviewed and approved.

Budget Review

We are essentially on budget for the year. Our receivables are somewhat behind because we are waiting for payment from Roudebush Farms for their share for the months of July and August.

Old Business

Playground Appearance The playground needs additional mulch.
Entrance Landscaping The center island at the 191st St. entrance has been greatly improved. The existing trees have been removed because they were either dead or were dying. With volunteer help from members of the board and their families a number of flowers and other perennials have been planted. The cost of the plants is being covered by HOA funds.
Additional mulch is needed for the center island and the two entrance sign areas. This will have to be a different kind of mulch than that needed for the playground. We will be looking for the most cost-effective way to buy the mulch.
Pond Contractor The cattails in pond near the pool have been sprayed. This has been effective in killing off the cattails on the periphery but it seems to have had little effect in in the center. In the other two ponds the primrose has been resprayed but there still seem to be some still alive.
Website Development Cara Culp of the Noblesville mayor's office is now sending links to news releases. These are now being posted on our home page.
Damage to the Sidewals at the 191st St. Entrance. There has been no progress on getting the city to repair the serious damage done on the sidewalk along 191st St. The city has written up a work order. There is minor cracking on the slab on the woods side of the entrance. This has been there for a long time and seems to be the result of settling of the land under the sidewalk. It is not bad enough yet to require repair.
Pool Contractor and Facility The pool is still experiencing a few problems. The pool is leaking water slowly. One of our residents has volunteered to check out the problem. We are experiencing a problem with heater. Because of a combination of the very hard water received from the city and the presence of chlorine in the water, some of the heating tubes are becoming blocked with calcification. Volunteers have been manually reaming out the blocked tubes but what is really needed is a maintenace kit that we need to buy from the heater supplier. We need to purchase this before the beginning of the next season.
It was decided that keeping the pool open throughout the month of September is not worth it in terms of the number of people who use it during the month. In the future we will close after Labor Day. This will result in a savings in lifeguard hours and in utilities and maintence chemicals.
DJ Pools has yet to submit the hours worked by the lifeguards. The bill will not be paid until we get this.

New Business

Repair to the Pool House Holt Construction will repair the pool house for $525. We will pay for this and then get reimbursed by the company that did the damage.
Invitation to Roudebush Farms Board to our Annual Meeting It was decided to invite the board members of Roudebush Farms to our annual meetings.
