There was one architectural request for a privacy fence. The request was approved
- Budget Review
Spending is basically in line with what was budgeted.
- Old Business
- Yard lights
The number of lots with yard lights out for three consective
months has dropped somewhat. Letters will be sent out to those in
violation.
- Pool report
The Meet and Greet event at the pool was very successful. There were
150-200 people in attendance. Hotdogs, hamburgers and soda were provided.
So far the pool maintenace provided by AquaDoc has been very good. The pool
heater is working well and the correct chemical balance in being maintained.
During the previous year the chemicals were often off and this caused regular
calcium solidification in the heating tubes. There is no evidence of this this
year. The lifeguards are doing a good job showing up on time and maintaing the
bathrooms and doing chemical test.
The pool committee is making plans for swim lessons and a special teen night.
- Dog problem
There have been regular complaints of a dog from one house running loose in the
neighborhood. The owner will be getting a letter notifying them to curb the dog.
- Cattails in the pond
The board approved the rental of a gas-powered hedge trimmer for $25 to trim back
the dead cattails in the pond near the swimming pool. Two volunteers will perform
the work. We will need additional volunteers to help bundle up the cattails for
disposal.
- New Business
- Special event signs
There was a discussion of what our options are for mounting special event signs
at the three entrances to Roudebush Woods. The idea is to have a sign to mention
an event and then give the website address so that people can get further details.
It is difficult and costly to distribute notices for special event and the use
of announcement signs should be easier and less costly in the long run.
- Annual meeting
The date for the annual meeting has been tentatively set for October 13.
- Meeting Adjourned
Meeting adjourned at 7:40 pm
