24 Feb 2009
- Call to Order
Location: Noblesville Public Library
Time: 6:05 PM
Members present: Jeff Dornick,
Bob Hackenberg, Robin Fleming, David York, Donna Zenthoefer,
Hank Thompson
- Approval of Minutes
Minutes from last month were approved and are now online at
roudebushwoods.org.
- Architectural Requests
There were no architectural requests this month.
- Budget Review
The money owed by Roudebush Farms for their share of the
expenses for 2008 have now been completely paid up.
- Old Business
- Playground
The playground needs additional mulch. Robin Fleming will
research how much we added last year and determine what is
needed this year. The best estimate is about the same or a
little more than what
we ordered last year.
- Front Entrance
The burning bushes at either end of the island need to be cut
back. Three of solar lights on the end of the island seem to
not be lighting up consistently. Two were blown out of the
ground and across the road during the heavy winds. Bob
Hackenberg will take them in and test them to see what the
problem is. We have replacement lights in case they are not
working.
- New Business
- Pool Contract
We received a bid from Pro Pool Management (formerly DJ Pools)
based on the number of hours the pool was open last year. In
order to cut spending, we
are in the process of reconsidering the number of days the
pool will be open this year.
We will send this number back to
Pro Pool Mangement for a rebid.
- Grants from the City of Noblesville
Robin Fleming has been in contact with City of Noblesville
with regard to matching grants from the city for landscaping
the pond nearest swimming pool. The city is looking for
neighborhoohs that would like to participate in the program.
The goal of the grants is to limit the polution that flows
into the streams using trees and bushes around retention
ponds. The process is competitive. Robin has the paperwork
ready for submission, pending approval by the board. The
board voted unanimously to approve the submission. In
addition, the board approved the submission of an application
for a small grant to install a rain garden in the playground
area that is consistently soggy.
